Notts boss expects Frenchman to be fit to face Magpies

Taylor provides squad update ahead of Paris FC trip

Ahead of their trip to Paris FC, manager Steve Taylor has provided an update on his squad. The Magpies will be without a number of key players for the trip to France, including defender Richard Duffy and midfielder Jake Reeves, who are both suspended. Midfielder Connell Rawlinson and forward Macaulay Langstaff are still injured.

However, Taylor expects French defender El hadji Omar Faye to be fit to face Paris FC despite missing the win over Maidenhead United with a knock. Magpies boss Taylor is still waiting to learn the full extent of Dion Kelly-Evans' hamstring injury. Kelly-Evans limped off during the second half of the 3-1 victory over Maidenhead at Meadow Lane.

Taylor had hoped the injury was not serious, but the former Wales under-21 international is likely to miss the game in Paris. Taylor said: "Dion felt his hamstring, so we’ll have to assess that. OJ (Omar Faye) got a knock and he didn’t train on Tuesday, but he should be OK. We’ll see how they are and make a decision."

The trip to Paris FC will be Notts' first competitive match since mid-December. The Magpies have been in good form since the turn of the year, winning three of their four matches in all competitions.

Taylor's side will be looking to continue their good form when they take on Paris FC, who are currently 12th in the French Ligue 2. The match will be played at the Stade Sebastien Charléty in Paris on Friday, January 27.
